Jim’s South St Steaks & Hoagies

Five-time winner of Philadelphia magazine’s “Best of Philly” award, Jim’s South Street is often described as the “Hippest Street in Town.” 

With well over 200 years of cheesesteak knowhow, they are a ‘must stop’ on any cheesesteak tour.  

You can enjoy watching the steak being cooked on the grill right in front of you and topped with cheese (Whiz, American or provolone).   Of course you’ll want to add onions.

It’ll be packed with as many locals as tourists so you know it’s the real deal.   The walls are lined with photos and autographs of celebrities who’ve made the trek here and wanted to show their appreciations.

They’re open from mid-morning (10am) until the wee hours of the morning – 1am or 3am depending on the day.
