Pat’s claims to be the original home of the Philly cheesesteak.   Founded in 1930 by the Olivieri family, founder Pat Olivieri started with a little stand at the southern end of South Philly’s Italian Market.

Since then, Pat’s has become on of the most famous shops in the world and a must stop for anyone on a cheesesteak tour.  Open 24/7 except for two breaks a year taking off 24 hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Pat’s also offers takeout, local delivery and if you are so inclined… National shipping
